Hello! My name is Estefania Herrera. I was born and raised in Mexico, Chihuahua. From a young age I learned about the medicinal properties that herbs contain from my grandmother. After she passed away, my interest in indigenous medicines grew, and eventually expanded to also studying eastern medicines in the Ayurvedic tradition. As I move forward, I continue to learn more about traditional rituals, energy work, and nutrition.
Jaclyn and I met five years ago and connected over the heart-opening Sufi poetry that she introduced me to. From there, I became involved in her Mindfulness in the Mountains program and eventually began to assist her with group meditations. In 2018, we traveled together to the Amazon jungle to deepen my understanding of indigenous medicines & healing. Jaclyn has been a great teacher along my journey, and I am excited to collaborate with her in many endeavors!
A bit about my formal education & my offerings
I have a bachelors in Nutrition Sciences and am currently working on a master's degree at University of Nevada, Las Vegas; I am also obtaining my licensure as a Registered Dietitian. My main line of work focuses on self-care, self-love, and service. I love teaching people practical skills to nourish their bodies, minds and spirits, especially during times of stress when healthy eating may seem difficult. I am also creating a non-profit to help underserved communities gain knowledge of and access to healthy eating options. My own website will be up and running shortly!
Hi, I'm Alina. I met Jaclyn during the first year of my university program in the UNLV Honors College. I didn't realize at the time how much she would change my life, but I did know I wanted to enroll in as many classes with her as I could! When it came to registration, her classes filled in mere seconds, so I was lucky to get a seat. Listening to her lectures and stories sparked something very meaningful inside of me, and I developed a relationship with her over the years during all the classes I took from her as well as through my participation in her Mindfulness in the Mountains meditation program. Our friendship deepened, and she invited me to Brazil with herself and Estefania, and I began helping her with group events. I'm so grateful to be under her wing when it comes to serving the spiritual community, expanding my consciousness, and staying aligned with my soul's callings.
More about my path
I've been teaching yoga since 2017 when I completed my 200-hour training in Costa Rica. In 2019, I returned to Costa Rica to complete my 300-hour training, allowing me to become a 500RYT. Besides yoga, I'm also a massage therapist in training. As for my academics, I finished my undergrad with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Art History, and Art. My love of learning and traveling has brought me to study in Italy and Thailand, along with passing through many other places along the way.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your healing journey!
